About Nomura Dojo

Judo, a martial art that originated in Japan, is based on the principles of “Seiryoku Zenyo” (maximum efficient use of energy for good) and “Jita Kyoei” (mutual prosperity for oneself and others), as taught by the founder Jigoro Kano.

The Nomura Dojo aims to instill these values in children by teaching proper manners and etiquette through judo, offering an opportunity to rediscover the joy of judo beyond winning and losing.

Background and Motivation for Sponsorship

Last year, at our 18th Annual C.NET Research Forum, we invited Tadahiro Nomura to give a keynote speech on the theme of “Unbreakable Spirit.”

In a dialogue with our CEO, Nobuhiko Onozaki, they discussed nurturing and supporting the younger generation, highlighting the common challenges faced in both judo and the IT industry—namely, declining youth participation and workforce shortages.

Despite working in different fields—Nomura as an athlete, Onozaki as an entrepreneur—they both share experiences of overcoming adversity and striving for success. Through this dialogue, they strongly connected over the importance of “developing people,” which inspired the sponsorship of this event.

C.NET strongly supports the philosophy of the Nomura Dojo: teaching manners and enjoying judo purely through practice.

We are committed to continuing our contributions to society by helping children—the future generation—grow with dreams and aspirations.

At C.NET, we also plan to further strengthen our efforts to support children’s growth and contribute to a sustainable society by developing future talent.
